As a Growth Marketing Manager, SEO, you will lead the strategy and performance of our organic search channel, driving qualified traffic and lead generation through search engine optimization, answer engine optimization (AEO), and generative engine optimization (GEO). In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing our organic search roadmap, conducting technical and content audits, and continuously optimizing our presence across traditional search engines and emerging AI-driven search and answer surfaces. Reporting to the Directors of Performance Marketing, North America, you will play a key role in shaping brand visibility, influencing customer acquisition, and delivering measurable business results through Lightspeed's non-paid marketing channels. Your contributions will be instrumental to the continued growth and success of the business.

Please note that this is a 13-month fixed-term contract position.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Develop and execute the organic search strategy across SEO, AEO, and GEO to drive scalable, sustainable traffic and lead growth

  • Conduct regular technical SEO audits to identify and resolve crawlability, indexation, and site health issues

  • Monitor organic performance, keyword rankings, and site health to translate data into actionable recommendations

  • Track how our content and brand appear across AI-driven answer engines and generative search experiences, and adapt content and structured data strategy accordingly

  • Partner with Content and Web Development teams to implement on-page, technical, and structured data (schema) improvements at scale

  • Own keyword research and content gap analysis to inform the content roadmap, editorial calendar and prioritize high-impact opportunities

  • Collaborate with the Analytics team to build reporting and dashboards that track organic search KPIs and demonstrate channel performance and ROI

  • Stay ahead of search engine algorithm updates and evolving AI search behaviour, adjusting strategy proactively to protect and grow visibility

  • Align with the Integrated Marketing team to ensure organic content and search presence reflect a consistent brand narrative

What you'll be bringing to the team:

  • Proven experience owning and growing an organic search channel, with a strong understanding of SEO, AEO, and GEO principles

  • Solid grasp of technical SEO fundamentals, including site architecture, crawlability, indexation, structured data, and Core Web Vitals

  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Content and Web Development teams to implement SEO recommendations

  • Hands-on experience with tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, OnCrawl, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects while optimizing for highest impact

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to turn data into a clear narrative and action plan

Even better if you have, but not necessary:

  • Experience optimizing content and structured data specifically for AI-driven answer engines and generative search platforms

  • B2B lead-generation experience in a SaaS or technology environment

  • Proven track record of growing organic traffic and improving organic-driven pipeline or revenue

  • Familiarity with international or multi-site SEO

  • Experience with additional tools like Looker and Salesforce
