Building a destination for the equestrian community
When co-owners Michael and Anissa Teskey moved to Weatherford, Texas, in the late 90s, they found a community deeply rooted in equestrian culture. Seeing an opportunity, they opened a saddle shop in a small storage facility.
The response from the local equestrian community was overwhelmingly positive. The team quickly outgrew its original space and continued expanding, eventually transforming Teskey’s into a sprawling retail operation and destination for all kinds of riders.
While the business began with a focus on saddles, they soon realized they could provide everything riders needed in one place. From apparel and footwear to farm supplies and more, Teskey’s steadily expanded its offerings to serve customers more completely.

“We make sure we’ve got just about everything but the horse here,” says Jordan Cooper, Teskey’s IT Manager.
Today, the team hosts events throughout the year and actively creates opportunities for customers to connect with the western lifestyle and local community. Whether it’s bringing in food trucks, operating a feed barn or hosting its annual crawfish boil, Teskey’s is committed to creating a destination customers want to visit again and again.
With Lightspeed, we have an inventory that is up to date and accurate, which helps everything go smoother.

Actionable reporting without the complexity
The Teskey’s Saddle Shop team has been impressed with Lightspeed’s reporting capabilities. The reporting tools display the information they need most, helping them make smarter business decisions without adding unnecessary complexity.
“We don’t have to go searching,” says Jordan. “Reports tell us important things like, ‘This product has been around for seven years, you’ve only sold four, and you still have 30 left.'” Seeing this information in a single report gives the team greater visibility into inventory performance.
For Jordan, one of the biggest advantages is how accessible the reporting tools are for the entire team.
“Anissa was able to access and analyze the reporting quickly, making it easy to go in and check the data and insights she needed,” says Jordan.

Flexible integrations for a growing business
As Teskey’s continues to grow, the business relies on multiple technology solutions to support its operations. Lightspeed’s extensive integration ecosystem allows the team to connect the tools they already use, creating a more efficient and streamlined workflow.
“Lightspeed seamlessly integrates with other companies. It makes things more versatile,” says Jordan.
By combining intuitive reporting, accurate inventory management and flexible integrations, Lightspeed gives the Teskey’s team the visibility and efficiency they need to keep delivering the exceptional customer experience they’ve become known for.
