The search for a NetSuite-integrated system

Atlas Tools & Machinery was running on a retail operating system that was coming to end-of-life and was limiting its operation. The company needed a technology overhaul to support its retail and distribution operations, growing ecommerce channel and busy sales team.

After implementing NetSuite for back-end operations and inventory management, Atlas was looking for a modern, cloud-based POS that could be deployed quickly across their locations. Simplifying large-scale inventory management with NetSuite & Lightspeed

For Atlas, the integration between Lightspeed and NetSuite is critical to running what the team calls a “real-time operating system.” Joel explains, “NetSuite is connected to our warehouse management system. That’s where we do all our fulfillment. Every transaction in Lightspeed syncs with NetSuite, so it’s important it’s timely and accurate.” He says, “If I sell one unit of retail through Lightspeed, that’s going to pass through NetSuite and deduct the product’s inventory by one. This is key because we need our inventory to be correct across all our different locations and sales channels.”

In addition to improved inventory management, Atlas has also benefited from other Lightspeed features. For one, they appreciate having customizable quick-add tiles. This has allowed them to customize screens for their in-store registers, café and even for trade shows. What’s more, Joel highlights the way Lightspeed works with their scanners, as well as its reporting capabilities. “It’s quite agile. There’s a lot of great information you can get from the platform,” he says.

It’s such a fast application and it’s so flexible across a multitude of different hardware options. It fits really nicely into our tech stack and into our operations. We love it.

Moving forward with their new partner in business growth
