FAQs about Facebook

Before you connect your product catalog to Facebook to create your shop, or create ads and product tags, your products must comply with Facebook Commerce policies and Guidelines for listing products.

See all requirements in our Help Center.

How do I create a Facebook Shop that is connected with my ecom store?

To create a Facebook Shop synced with your ecom store, you have to connect your online store with Facebook.

Then, all products from your catalog will be displayed on the Shop section of your Facebook business page. Here, customers can browse and buy your products.

Note: Facebook Shops synced with your ecom store are limited to certain countries. Read more about limitations for Shops in Meta’s Help Center.

How do I tag products in my Facebook posts?

Once your product catalog is uploaded to Facebook, you can tag products in your posts.

When you are creating a post, simply click on the product you want to add, and the location on the image. Then, viewers can tap on the image to see the product details and visit your store.

Note: Tagging products on Instagram is limited in certain countries. For more details, visit Meta’s Help Center.

How can I sell on Facebook if my country is ineligible for Facebook Shops?

Even if your country is restricted by Meta from creating a Facebook Shop, you can still use Facebook for your business. You can connect your online store with Facebook and get all your products to appear in your Facebook catalog.

That catalog won't be visible on your Facebook business page in the Shop section, and you won’t be able to tag products on your posts — however, customers will still be able to see it in your ads with your products in them.
