It all started with a slow checkout on an old POS
For years, Urban Garden used the same, inadequate POS. The worst part about it, Jessica says, was how it performed at checkout. “It was the slowest checkout process you could imagine…it was just agonizing,” she explains.
When their POS system was discontinued, Jessica had the opportunity to upgrade. She explored several options, but found that many were built primarily for ecommerce, or were too simple to handle all her SKUs. To migrate all the SKUs over to another system, she was quoted thousands of dollars and up to three months of time to complete it.

Beyond the checkout, Jessica has majorly upgraded her inventory management.

“I can be out shopping and I can see if we’re busy, if we’re making sales, and that’s huge for me. If I need to update or change something, I can do it right on my phone…it’s the most amazing thing.”
