Vaping the Way needed to be able to dive deeper into their business to power more growth. The team wanted more actionable data when it came to buying, selling and employee appraisal.
But before advanced reporting powered by Lightspeed, they had no way to get the granular information they’d need. “All we looked for as far as whether our strategy was working or not was our profit margins, or our sales, customer transactions, things like that.”
They knew they could go deeper. And they knew Lightspeed could get them there.

Data from Lightspeed helps Vaping the Way better keep track of employee average sales, which is enabling new ways to incentivize performance. “We started doing a bonus structure for management and hired positions, and seeing those sales or profit targets has made that a lot easier and helps our staff know what to upsell,” says General Manager Kevin Millama.
“With Lightspeed, we know which two items are most likely sold together, so it’s much easier for us to tell our employees, if they’re coming in for this item, try to sell it with that item.”
Reporting has also impacted what they buy. By running category reports, they’re able to track their superstar products and time purchases and new product additions right, helping grow the business through optimized shelves.
