KitchenCUT integrates with Lightspeed ePOS, converting sales into live stock and accurate food costs. Every night, we import the previous day’s sales and match each item sold by SKU to its corresponding recipe, deducting ingredients down to the level of the raw purchased item. This means your inventory is always up to date without the need for manual counting, and you can see the gross profit margin for each dish as supplier prices change, as well as the variance between the amount of ingredients that should have been used and what was actually used. If your business has several outlets, revenue centres report each site separately. The connection process takes under a minute. There are no exports, uploads or re-keying.

  • Depletion at ingredient level through nested sub-recipes.

Other stock integrations treat till items as units and decrement them. KitchenCUT, however, decrements the recipe behind it and continues to do so through sub-recipes until it reaches the raw, purchased item. For example, a batch of sauce made on Monday depletes its own ingredients when a dish containing it is sold on Thursday. This makes everything below possible and is the feature that competitors cannot retrofit.

  • Your till maintains your stock.

As sales deplete ingredients when they are rung up, inventory stays current between counts rather than having to be reconstructed at the end of the period. Operators get live stock figures without having to walk around the store, turning stock management from a monthly task into something they can act on during the week.

  • Ingredient-level variance, costed.

Comparing the live position against a physical count provides a detailed breakdown of the shortfall, including the quantity, the ingredient, the site and the cost. This number reveals over-portioning, waste and loss, and cannot be produced from sales or counts alone. Both are needed and must be matched at ingredient level.

  • One Lightspeed business, many outlets, separate numbers.

We analyse revenue centres and allocate each one to its own KitchenCUT outlet. This means that a campus, hotel or contract catering site operating several cafés, bars and kitchens under a single business location receives a food cost, stock position and P&L report for each outlet instead of one aggregate report. This is the structure that most multi-outlet Lightspeed estates actually have, where aggregate reporting can hide problems.

KitchenCUT is a hospitality technology company founded by chefs and catering professionals. We serve restaurants, hotels, contract caterers, and university catering groups. Our platform unifies purchasing, recipe costing, stock control and food safety, providing operators with a comprehensive and accurate overview of their food costs and inventory.
