We are looking for a Senior Android Developer to join our mobile team, where you will support Ecwid by Lightspeed’s mobile applications in our mission to make the store management applications great, convenient, and engaging business management  tools. 

For this role specifically, you will be joining the team focused on Ecwid by Lightspeed, an Android app that helps out clients to manage their businesses on the go. Our mission is to provide the best store management application that gives every active client an opportunity to manage their business directly from their device – solving urgent problems faster and better, completing pending tasks more efficiently, and monitoring the state of the business from anywhere in the world.

You will be part of the healthy and collaborative team, continuously improving our engineering practices, and delivering a state-of-the-art product, all while keeping it fun. Among others, your work will make the lives of thousands of business owners much easier.

What you’ll be bringing to the team:

  • Proven experience in commercial Android development for at least 5 years
  • Solid understanding of Kotlin, as well as principles of clean architecture and clean code
  • Excellent problem-solving and planning skills
  • Expertise in implementing adaptive and responsive native mobile interfaces
  • Sufficient English to understand tech-documentation (at least intermediate level)
  • Sufficient Russian to understand and discuss with russian-speaking team (at least upper intermediate level)

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining clean, well-designed, highly maintainable Android application for store management
  • Drafting, discussing, and implementing technical designs that solve business problems for our customers
  • Diagnosing performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations
  • Extending your own skills by learning from and growing with the team
  • Participating in development planning, retrospectives and demos
  • Driving and owning the technical challenges in the team
  • Frequently interacting with product managers, designers, and developers as part of a cross-functional team to deliver product features and functionality
  • Fixing critical bugs
  • Conducting code reviews
  • Sharing knowledge and best practices with the team
  • Covering code with unit- and UI-tests
