Network Administrator - (English speaking, m/f/x)

We are seeking a highly motivated Network Administrator (Level 2), who will be responsible for managing and maintaining our global network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity and security across all locations. The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of computer networking, with proficient troubleshooting abilities and knowledge of WiFi technologies. Although the core infrastructure predominantly relies on Fortinet, we appreciate a flexible and adaptable approach to network management, expecting the candidate to be well-versed in diverse networking technologies and solutions.

***Please note that this role will either be based in Berlin, Germany or London, UK. Applicants require a full working permit in either of those locations***

 

What you'll be doing: 

  • Assisting in the training and mentoring of peers, ensuring they are up-to-date with the latest network technologies and best practices.
  • Providing technical support for network issues. This may involve working closely with other IT personnel and end-users to resolve problems.
  • Providing monitoring of network performance to ensure high availability and reliability. This may also involve helping in tuning the network for optimal performance.
  • Ticket management, manage and maintain tickets to ensure ticket SLA’s are met and Customer satisfaction.
  • Developing documentation, procedures to ensure consistency and compliance with industry standards and regulation.
  • Supporting network security analysis and incident response, working alongside the security team to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborating with other IT team members to solve complex issues and support IT projects and initiatives

 

What you'll bring to the team: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in network administration with focus on Fortinet network
  • Proficiency with network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPN endpoints
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members across different regions.
  • Strong knowledge of networking principles and protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and QoS.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional German skills strongly preferred.
  • Must have knowledge in Fortinet network solutions and a good understanding of other networking technologies and vendors.
  • Experience working with project managers and to implement projects
  • Vendor-agnostic approach to network management, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
